What does education mean? When we talk
about this in our country, what can we see? Is it good or bad? Is it better or
worse than in other places? When somebody talks about schools and education in Argentina there
are two positions that are maintained.
On the one hand we can say that in Argentina most of the people can
appeal to education. Most of children can go to school to learn, they have
possibilities and elderly people that haven't finished school can too. And not all
are public schools, but we have some that are really very good.
On the other hand we have that in schools we can find problems like: They are
not equipped with all necessary materials so people can't learn correctly, or
problems with the government so teachers decide to go on strikes and because of
that students can't keep up with the salaries, and it isn't good for anybody
because students are the country's future.
I'm convinced that schools and education in Argentina aren't bad, but there are
some troubles that we have to fix and we can't do it alone, we need to have
help from everybody, especially the government.
